Like all new products that come on to the market it's hard to switch from the old one. I have only used and raced with the best available oil in my race bikes and street bikes. - the oil I have used so far was the Motul 7100 10w - 40w fully synthetic.
I needed proof- so I did a Dyno Power run with Motul 7100 10w - 40w fully synthetic first- came in at 156.1 BHP rear wheel.
I then ran TriboDyn 10w-40w fully synthetic - it was 162 BHP rear wheel after 5,000 kms of hard riding.
What shocked me was that it got better and better on the road. - it rev'd out much faster so I took it back for another Dyno Power run. 1 year later - the results were a tad over 161 BHP rear wheel and an extra 4 ft/pounds of torque. The gains were strongest from 7,000 RPM onwards.
A big surprise was the economy figures - to start with, it was 7.86 L per 100 kms. Now after 5,000 kms its 4.79L per 100 kms.
I have noticed the engine turns over quicker on startup - i only take out the bike once a week so the oil film strength must be much better.
